Doom was a game that inspired many games and creators, now that a new Doom has come out come and enter a portal to things you don't know about your Doom.

Doom draws a lot of inspiration from movies. One of the original programmers, John Carmack, claims DOOM (1993) was a cross between Aliens and Evil Dead.
